Newsletter Q3-2021

We are excited to share many announcements this quarter!

Since our last newsletter, we launched four new satellites aboard SpaceX’s Falcon-9 rocket, disclosed our intent to go public via SPAC with Cantor Fitzgerald’s CF Acquisition Corp. V, and welcomed new customers and partners, including our first hosted payload customer in Australia.

Amidst it all, we recently launched a new website to encompass our expanded offerings, team, and brand. It has been a busy year thus far, but we are proud of our success throughout this pandemic and look forward to continued growth.

SPAC DEAL

Satellogic, A Leader in Satellite Earth Imagery, to Go Public Through Merger with Cantor Fitzgerald’s CF Acquisition Corp. V (Nasdaq: CFV)

In July we announced that we have entered into a definitive merger agreement that will result in Satellogic becoming a publicly traded company. The transaction is expected to be completed early in the fourth quarter of 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. After closing, Satellogic will trade on the Nasdaq under ticker symbol SATL.

Our proposed merger with CF Acquisition Corp. V ($CFV) will allow us to scale our constellation, with the goal of reaching 300+ satellites by 2025, offering enhanced analytics capabilities for commercial, sustainability, and government applications through a live catalog of every square meter of Earth daily. We’re excited to continue fundamentally changing the way people access and use satellite data.

LAUNCHES

Mission success in first launch with SpaceX

On June 30th at 19.31 UTC, four additional satellites were successfully deployed, expanding our Aleph-1 constellation to a total of 17 commercial spacecraft. This mission diversifies collection times for improved frequency with up to 4 revists per day over any Point of Interest and further increases constellation capacity to more than 5 million km2 per day in high-resolution. It is a critical milestone on our journey to remapping the entire planet every day at very high resolution.

Continuing our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, this mission honors the lives, work, and courage of four remarkable STEM pioneers: Rosalind Franklin, Grace Hopper, Elisa Bachofen, and Sofya Kovalevskaya.
